A Party with a Colorful Purpose

St Louis Chapter - Getting together to work towards a goal

The St. Louis Chapter’s mission to collect 1,000 pieces of art for local seniors is well on its way. Third grader Kamran and his family hosted an art party at their home this past weekend, inviting friends, classmates, and volunteers to contribute their creativity to the project. Over the course of an afternoon, over ten family and elementary-aged friends gathered to color, draw, and create artwork for seniors.

Events like this are not only meaningful for the seniors who will receive the artwork, but also enriching for the children that participate in volunteer work. As friends came together in a creative setting, they learned teamwork at a young age and bonded through a sense of purpose as together they created something intended to bring joy to others.

The afternoon was fun and full of energy with markers and crayons scattered across the table. The team had a goal of making 100 pieces of art and by the end of the day, they well surpassed that number adding to the growing collection of art work, each one made with the spirit of kindness. The St. Louis Chapter is well on its way toward its goal, powered by community, creativity, and the hearts of young artists.
