Founder & Co-President

Anushka Noori

Anushka Noori is a writer, advocate, and the force behind Gentle Generations, a nonprofit she founded to bring joy, connection, and dignity to senior citizens. The organization was born from something deeply personal. Anushka spent years caring for her ailing grandmother who passed away after losing a battle with a rare neurological condition, an experience that shaped Anushka’s understanding of aging and the power of intergenerational bonds. Through Gentle Generations, she works to ensure that no elder feels forgotten, and that younger people have the chance to learn from those who came before them.

Anushka has long been committed to service. She is also the founder and president of a separate non-profit organization that advocates for pediatric patients with neuromuscular conditions. Beyond this, her services initiatives span from organizing birthday gifts and celebrations for homeless children across multiple communities, to sponsoring underprivileged youth in rural India.

A nationally recognized writer, she is equally passionate about storytelling. As Editor-in-Chief of several youth- led magazines, including her school’s longest-running publication, she helps shape spaces where voices are heard. Through her writing, Anushka sheds light on neglected narratives, challenges assumptions, sparks meaningful dialogue in her community and connects people across differences.

She serves as the national Student Council Chair of Remedial Herstory, a project working towards rebalancing how women are represented in history education. On campus, she’s a member of the Asian Advisory Board, where she advocates for multicultural unity and representation.

Whether through service, writing or music, everything she does is rooted in a deep desire to connect — across generations, across cultures, and across experiences. She finds meaning in creating small moments of light in people’s lives. She believes that compassion isn’t just a value — it’s an action.
